CFA’s “Pambata” Magazine to Highlight Singapore Math

ImageThe June-July 2013 issue of CFA’s Pambata Magazine will feature a discussion and demonstration of Singapore Math, a current buzzword in many local schools.  Singapore Math is a teaching method with consistent and strong emphasis on problem solving and model drawing.  Explanations of math concepts are exceptionally clear and simple (often just a few words in a cartoon balloon), making it possible for students to read it easily. As a result of adopting this method, Singapore placed at the top of the world in 4th and 8th grade mathematics. Back to the Basics of Faith

ImageIn launching the Year of Faith with his apostolic letter “Porta Fidei,” Pope Benedict XVI emphasized that “the essential content that for centuries has formed the heritage of all believers needs to be confirmed, understood and explored ever anew, so as to bear consistent witness in historical circumstances very different from those of the past.”  In line with this, CFA will feature (in installments, starting with the June-July 2013 issues) fundamental building blocks of Church teachings.  Gospel Komiks (for elementary students) will discuss PCP-2 (the second Plenary Council of the Philippines).  Gospel Now (for high schoolers) will look back at Vatican-II.  Gospel K Magazine (also for high school) will review the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC).  To reserve your copies of these magazines, or to invite a CFA Sales staffer for a demo, contact sales@cfamedia.org.
